BBJ Lessons Learned
In May of 2005 the Boston Business Journal asked Heather Edelman of Strategies For Growth the following question.
"What impact does the new era of corporate scrutiny have on business?"
Companies must create a culture that values integrity—honesty, trust, and uncompromising standards. They must set clear expectations for conduct. This includes developing written policies that comply with federal and state laws, and consistently applying them to ensure fair and equitable treatment. Ultimately, executives define integrity by example. Therefore management must communicate with employees openly, honestly and frequently.
